How long does it take you to do the artwork?
It depends. Some of the charcoal sketches can take me less than an hour, while the pen and pencil pictures can take me days. Also, after I finish creating the physical piece, I have to scan it, do a bit of clean up in Photoshop, format it for my website, then upload it. In two weeks I can do about 3-4 detailed pieces, and a couple sketches.
Do you plan to sell your artwork?
Yes. If you’re interested in purchasing an original, please send me an email at [email protected]. I am planning to set up a way to let people purchase prints as well. If you’re interested in getting notified when that goes live, send me an email here with your name and email.
How often do you Travel?
I typically take one or two international trips a year. However, I do a lot of weekend jaunts within the U.S. So it’s common for me to take 10 or more trips in a year. I have also just moved to a new city, so even leaving my house right now means exploring a new place.
Why a blog in the age of AI?
While I hope that people find this blog entertaining and useful, it is also a way for me to document my travels using abilities that I enjoy. Some people collect postcards or pin maps of places they go; I create these articles and artwork. The process of creation and reflection helps me remember each location or activity in greater detail. By sharing my recollections publicly, I hope to encourage others to step outside and experience the beauty of travel.
